AP Photonics Limited (APP) was founded in 2010. It is a member of AP Group which has a portfolio of technology companies worldwide. APP is a world leader in the design, development and production of optical and opto-mechanical products. Its Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) Voice Coil Motor (VCM) products have been installed in over 8 million mobile phones. 

APP is headquartered in Hong Kong with production facilities in Shenzhen, China. APP has one of the most efficient production operations in the industry due to ongoing efforts to enhance automation of the manufacturing process. Currently, APP can produce multi-million units of VCM per month and is in the process of expanding production capabilities. APP has research and development (R&D) offices in Hong Kong and China, and it also leverages the global R&D capabilities of other members of AP Group. APP strives to lead in innovation of technologies, products and manufacturing processes. Over time, APP also intends to expand its opto-mechanical products for applications in other industries
